Dillon Beach

S0 today we went to Dillon Beach on the coast between Marin and Sonoma County. Malibu is a veteran at the beach and loves how it exfoliates her pads. Captain after the trip said he couldn't wait to get to the Oregon Coast to see if that beach is better. Enjoy the pics and the video.  

 

Show Number 4

So today Captain showed at 1:45 and it was about 95 degrees so he was done before we began. The judge was from Mexico City and watching her before us she didn't care for puppies. Captain was 2 of 2 today and didn't get to go back in for reserve. The next show dates are a Thursday to Sunday June 4-7. Once again these show are here in Vallejo our home time so there is only 5 minutes worth of travel. We weill keep on practicing and will update as usual. No pics or video today as Denise went to one of our good friends memorial. Be safe and will talk soon.

I am Exhausted, Need Sleep

Third Show ( You Must Read )

So today was Captain's third show. It was hot the judge was  from New York so it was very hot for her. So Captain had three dogs in his puppy class and he did his best and I helped out a little and the next thing you know CLASS ONE. So the tension builds as we enter for Winner's dog and up against two other dogs and what do you know WINNER'S DOG. So into breed we go  but the tank was empty and the end of our day but it was  a 3 POINT MAJOR.  I thought the day was over I could get his picture taken and a quick ride home to get cooled off. Then I was told by the steward that the judge was hot and was gonna take her lunch then do her next ring assignment so we would have to wait. We showed at 11:30 and her next assignment was at 1:30. So after she did about 60 more dogs we finally got to take his first picture. Denise also took pics so I will try to put them up soon and maybe a video. On to tomorrow and maybe another major. Wish us luck. I can't describe how happy ware with Captain today. He is truly the best dog ever. Thanks to Carolyn, Megan, and Mandy. Second Show

Well today we got a class 3 out of 3. I felt Captain did better. Stillneed to work on the right speed and him standing better. My stack on the table I thought was better but then looking back I had is back to far turned out. On a side note the puppy that beat us yesterday and today was Best Puppy in Show yesterday. Shewas suprised togetthe group and then the Show judge was our class judge. She saif that she didn't need to put him in the table during Show per the judge. So I will go back to conformation class this week and really work with him in little 5 minuted sessions to work on the rest. Next show will be this weekend coming up times are Sat 11:30 and Sun 1:30. Not many pics that looked good but do have a video or two.

So now that I am rested here is more stuff. His class had 4 dogs unfortunately there was another blue before me so no color off set. In class first cut I we were placed three but then was moved to two once she moved down the line. Tomorrow still possible major point but one less dog in class but not the other blue. Will update tomorrow. Enjoy

First Day Result

So we took a class 2. We were at 3 but the judge moved us up one before she chose. The blue boy she put up was a week younger but very animated and she had worked a lot with her dog. I need to work harder. The judge also gave him winner and then best winners for a 4 pointer. Guess that means I need to get them tomorrow. All in all I was very proud of Captain and since we are both rookies we will work even harder. Will put some pics and video up later. Time for us to take a nap. Heading out for the First Show

So we are on the way for Captain's first show. I will have my laptop with me and will post updates. Hopefully we get some good points right out the shoot. Beside the normal sjow it is also a Best in Puppy show. Wish us luck and with update soon.
