Day 4 of 4 Day Cluster

So Captain went back to the ring today after taking the day of to celebrate with brother Fig at The Ranch. We decided to stay in class today due to only one other dog entered in class. Was hoping at the least he could get his point. But as with the other two days we were again Winners Dog and Best of Winners. So he got a bonus point just in case. He is looking good and trying to look into the crystal ball as to were Harvey won't be so we can try to get a BOB. Maybe the weekend before the Nationals otherwise Captain needs to get a better game face on. Thing again maybe a trip North could be in line you never know and I am sure there are a couple of people who would love to see him. Tell next time. Thanks for all the support. Forgot to say that Captain celebrated the weekend by having a whole Chicken leg quarter to himself. He took a while but he loved every bite.

Day 2 of 4 day Cluster

So many have already heard but I thought I would blog. Captain finished today with a class 1 then Winners Dog and then took Best of Winners for the second straight day. This gave Captain his last point. So may I introduce Champion C-Myste Baledwr Whomping Willow aka Captain or Cappy. (Pending AKC conformation) He did better today than yesterday. The judge caught me off guard by telling me that he (Cappy) has made to the food bowl a lot. When questioned after pictures he said Captain was solid and didn't need ant more weight. He said the specials were a little less lean in the back. We did have a pic taken and asked for digital copies so once I get I will post it. I am giving Captain the day off tomorrow as we were to show at 1:00 and there about 20 dogs before us and it was to be hot and Cappy does not like to show in the afternoon. So instead we are going to head to the Ranch and meet up with Fig and the gang. I will go back for the 930 showing on Sunday and keep him in open. There is only one other dog and maybe he can get the point if possible. Very proud of Captain and will continue to special on a limited basis. He will hopefully start to track with Malibu, Fig and Watson in the fall. Thanks for everyone's support you are great.

Day 1 of a 4 day Cluster

Today was day 1 of a 4 day cluster here in Vallejo. Cappy goes in with needing only 2 points to finish up. Today we showed at 10:15 and a big thank you to Alden and Kathy for showing up. Denise is in San Diego helping out her mom who had a knee replacement in Monday. Could get some photos from Kathy but we';; see. Captain to was Winners Dog for 1 of his 2 needed points. He then went Best of Winners but there were only 4 bitches and so his point remained at 1. Tomorrow should be the same count. We were suppose to have 3 dogs today but just the puppy 6-9 showed up. Hopefully he shows tomorrow so we don't have to try to get BOW but who doesn't like competition. More to follow...
