Dixon Day 1, Northern Ca Herding Gr Assosc.

Today was first day of Open class and Captain got a class 2 of 2. I was happy with him. His expressions are beginning to be there. Had a rough time on wet tall grass but it is a show and Captain lately is getting use to different surfaces. Still hope to get something the next 2 days. We show tomorrow at 8 and Sun at 10:15. Not sure if the birthday party will happen but a get together could happen at the Napa show on Nov 7/8. We show and Denali starts rally. We want to cheer him on. Big plus today was I got to see one of my dad's dogs Tula. The NCNC Newfie special today and he had to find a good working home for her in Wa. She loves the water now and just looked great and happy. Plus got to see the head of the NCA as he was the judge. Will let everyone know what happens tomorrow.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAPTAIN

Here is a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Captain and all the of the Trees. Can't believe it was a year ago Megan had the hard job along with momma Hanna with all of these guys and gals. Here are a few pics. Captain will be having a party after his show on Sunday in Dixon with brothers Fig and Sage so I am sure many pics to come. Again a big thanks to Megan, Carolyn, and Mandy for giving me such a sweet dog and a true joy.

San Diego Pics.

Here are a few pics from San Diego. Denise had a hard time with taking pics indoors. This weekend show in Pleasanton. Show at 8. 1 point possible 2 if Cappy can take breed.

San Diego Update

So we are back from our San Diego trip and show. We had a lot of fun with Denise's parents and were pleasantly surprised on how well her mom fared with the dogs. She does have allergies and I was amazed with how she dealt with the dogs. Her was right at home putting them on his lap. We came away with a point each day. We were WD on Sat for a point and WD/BOW for a point from the girls. We were the only dog there on Sun. This was Captained first indoor show and did better today than yesterday. It was very noisy and if a big dog barked Captain would have to figure it out. He had no problems on the mat but did seem to want to look around at all the noise. The 2 points bring us to a total of 11 and again our majors are out of the way. So we are now chipping away and seems to be going well. The bonus was the Captain pretty much does not have a coat right now as he is making room for his winter coat. When brushing his chest you could see his pink underside. The folks were nice and asked a few questions but not to much time spent. Next show is this Sun and then a three day show the following weekend. I hope to get it done by then. On Saturday the 24TH we should be getting together with Fig and Sage for a Birthday party. Everyone's invited. Details to follow. Hopefully some photos from this weekend also. Hard taking pics indoors.

Pic and off to SanDIego

Captain and Andrew decided to sleep on the floor. LOL

This was a picture taken last night soo funny. We are leaving in the morning for San Diego. Captain will be showing on Sat and Sun at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. Wish us luck. Only a point here or there unless we can take breed. Sat 3-3(1-1) and Sun 2-3(1-1). Sat is also a puppy show. Only two weekends left of puppy class. They grow up so fast. Thanks to everyone. We hope to finish this month with this 2 day show, then a Sunday show in Pleasanton, and then a three day show in Dixon.

At the Ranch

Captain today got to meet up with Fig at his Ranch in Napa. We all had a great time and they played together very well. Malibu and Duncan were there too. I must say we enjoyed ourselves very much. Thank you Alden can't wait til next time. All these photos are on Facebook also with captions. Still can't figure this thing out. They are in no particular order.
