Day at the Vet

Times does sure go by. Just a year ago I was taking Captain to the vet for his last puppy check up and first Rabies shot. Well it is now year later and he just got his first 3 year shot and of course Malibu tagged along and got her check up as well. Captain weighed in at a huge 37.7 pounds and I must say Whomping Willow was a big hit. Malibu came in at a portly 32.6, yes she could use to loose 3-4 pounds but couldn't we all. She has stayed at this weight for about a year now. The entire vet staff loved the pups especially Captain with those big blue eyes. I was surprised that the vet(usually saw the partner) and some of staff thought Captain was a mix of corgi. Staff I could understand but vet no much. He was great though and I would see him again. He basically said Captain was perfect which we all know and he was the best patient. Well a show dog knows how to stand on a table and get looked over, don't they. Malibu bless her hurt would rather curl up in the corner and pretend she isn't there. But as soon as cookies and affection come out here comes Malibu. So now the daunting tasks of renewing Cappy's license. Of course since I am a responsible owner and he is still intact it will cost me three times as much. Oh well, just giving everyone the update. I to let everyone know Captain's 2 points over the weekend were posted on infodog, that just makes me happy and at ease for his points. Talk later. Trenton

Two down Two to Go

Thought I would take the same path. Well today was another good day. We were Winners Dog again but the other open dog was absent so no point from him but we were able to pull out Best if Winners for the bitches 1 point. So that means only 2 point left for Captain. Next shoe is a 4 day in Vallejo my home town were Captain got his first major his first weekend out. I looked over the judges and both Thursday and Friday's have placed Captain first in his puppy class but nothing else. Hopefully with him growing up more and his ears and expression better we should pull this off. Sorry no pics today Denise had to work. Captain wants to meet everyone who follows him so be on the look out.

One Down Four to Go

Captain was able to get one of his last four points today in San Jose at the Santa Clara Valley Kennel Club. This was indoors and he had one other dog in his open class. Captain took both the class and of course Winner's Dog. He did not get BOW but he got to be behind Harvey. It was great seeing both Harvey and Kelly, what a world wind the both of them have been one. So hopefully we can get another point tomorrow and only need two more from the shows in Vallejo at the end of March. Here are a couple of pics for ya. Tweet and FB tomorrow.

Time to get back to Business

Captain is looking a lot better, more handsome, ears looking good, my suit is cleaned and pressed. So what does that mean? Show tomorrow in San Jose. We show at 945 so I will tweet and facebook. The program gives me one other dog and then 3 bitches, So hopefully the dog shows and Captain takes it for a point or I can take BOW for their points, also 1. We show again on Monday at 800 with the same counts. I sure hope Harvey is there back from his big BOB at Westminster and Eukanuba. Would really like to congrats Kelly and Harvey in person. If not I am sure to see them the end of March at the 4 day show in Vallejo. Hopefully with these 6 shows Captain can get his last 4 points, no majors needed, and everyone can sigh a big relief. He makes me so proud already. Hopefully will update tomorrow afternoon with some pics. Indoors too. Captain got a point in San Diego indoors so hopefully he remembers everything. Had him on lead yesterday and he was back to business. Wish us luck

Just an update

Just wanted to give everyone an update to all things Captain and Malibu. They both are doing well and are very happy when they have dinner and there is a nice piece of raw chicken in it. They are also getting missing link everyday which I think is making a difference. Denise has suprised me and has even started feeding them raw which has amazed me. We have not fully converted and not sure I will but I am half way there.

Captain alert he has grown up since his last show in early November. He is signed up for a 2 day show in San Jose on Feb 21st and 22nd. He then has a 4 day show here in Vallejo March 25-28. He is looking better and as I call it "his mane" is back. I just love Cappy he is just a cuddlier. I am hoping with these 6 days to get his points. I am determined to get him finished and get all his tests done by the summer. We have been going for some good walks and getting him back to remember what the show ring is. Might even go back down to his conformation class prior to the Feb shows.

Here is picture of both Cappy and Malibu with my other kids Ashley and Andrew.

We hope to meet up with everyone this summer and if not at Bandon then we will have to have a good Road Trip.
